Unexpected Gunfire Incident During Peaceful Holiday in Topaktaş

However, violence found its way into our lives once again. We cannot understand why such reckless gunfire occurs, turning festive moments into nightmares. We demand an end to these incidents. Our lives are being overshadowed by fear and pain. Currently, I am living with a bullet still lodged in my body, which is very difficult for me emotionally and physically. This is the first time in our lives that we have experienced such a traumatic event. The pain, compounded by our already difficult circumstances, pushes us further into despair. We’re trying to find peace elsewhere, but if violence persists even in safer places, we don’t know what our future holds.”

Ateş also called for increased security measures and stricter controls on firearms. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness among young people about the dangers of gun violence and the necessity of community involvement in ensuring safety.

The local gendarmerie teams continue their diligent investigation to identify the individual responsible for firing the weapon. Authorities are actively seeking witnesses and reviewing security camera footage to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large.
